Graduate students
undergraduate researchers
We welcome undergraduate students interested in obtaining research experience related to water, ecosystems, and human health. In the Van Meter Ecohydrology Lab, we use a combination of large-scale data analysis, machine-learning techniques, geospatial explorations, and model development to answer questions about patterns and processes related to water quality in human-impacted landscapes. If you want to learn more about water in the anthropocene, send me a message ([email protected]) or stop by my office, and we will talk about ideas and opportunities.

Postdoctoral Fellows
We are currently recruiting 1 postdoctoral fellow on a 12-month term, renewable pending performance and funding. In our group, postdocs are collaborators and have the opportunity to develop mentorship skills with graduate students and undergraduate researchers. I am seeking a motivated scientist who will bring their own skill sets and ideas to work under the broad umbrella of human impacts on water quality. I am especially eager to welcome a researcher skilled in applying remote sensing techniques and large-scale data analysis to issues surrounding threats to water quality. Please send me a message ([email protected]) if you are interested. Let's talk!
